The AIA is a non-profit organisation which exists for one purpose: to help our members become more successful long-term investors.
We protect and advance the interests of Australian investors across all types of investments and asset classes - including shares, cash, property, self-managed superannuation funds and managed funds.
Together, we can accomplish more. The Australian Investors' Association's investment courses, discussion groups, national investors conferences, investor bulletins, investment telepresentations and website provide the opportunity for members to connect and learn both from experts and each other’s experience.
Regardless of where, why and through what structure you invest, the AIA can help you develop the skills to take ownership of your financial future.
The AIA was formed in 1991 by a small group of investors who recognised there was a need for an organisation which could represent the interests of private investors across the broad spectrum of investment products available in the retail market. The Founding President was the late Austin Donnelly, author of many books on investing.
Membership of the AIA is strictly limited to individuals. Unlike some other organisations claiming to represent some types of investor, there is no provision for corporate or similar members. This means that there can be no suggestion that AIA policy is in any way influenced by other than individual investors.

Membership of the AIA costs just $130 for one year or $210 for two years, which includes a $20 joining fee and thereafter just $110 for one year or $190 for two years. Join the Australian Investors' Association now.
