The Association provides a wide range of events for members.
The National Conference is our major event each year. Due to overwhelming feedback from members, in 2013 the conference will be held at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa, from the 29th to the 31st July 2013. The 3-day conference will once again be filled with valuable sessions from leading investment experts and have something for investors of all levels. Planning has begun and more information will be posted shortly.
One-Day and Half-Day Seminars
Each state committee aranges several one-day and/or half-day seminars each year. Topics are arranged by the local committees and cover all aspects of investment in all asset classes, fixed interest, property, superannuation, estate planning, etc.
Most capital cities hold regular information evenings. Highly regarded industry speakers are invited to present on a range of topics of interest to members.
A program of webinars provides updates on topical subjects, providing timely information for all investors.

Local discussion groups are held in many locations. These are generally small groups of members who meet to discuss topical matters of interest to the self-directed investor. The local discussion group coordinators usually set an agenda of topics, as requested by the members who attend.
From time to time, we offer courses relating to various aspects of investing. These courses will be promoted on our website 'Home' page, and will be shown in the events schedule.
The AIA has also produced the Sharemarket Investment Course, available via DVD. With 13 hours of content and a CD with homework, these DVDs offer exceptional value.
Members are welcome to attend any and all of the above events, and may bring partners and/or guests. Non-members welcome also.
