The conference commences Sunday 29th July 2012 in the evening with a keynote presentation by Jonathan Pain, Editor of The Pain Report. Regularly rated one of the top presenters at AIA National Investors Conferences, Jonathan will set the global scene for investors.
Sessions continue Monday and Tuesday, finishing at 3:30pm on Wednesday 1st August and followed by happy hour. In addition to the seven plenary sessions, the conference features eight streams.

Although you will not be locked in to all the sessions within a stream if you seek comprehensive coverage of the matters addressed by the stream, you would be advised to attend all the sessions related to the stream. The speakers and session outlines are provided in greater detail.

Early Bird Discounts
Delegates who register prior to 31 May 2012 are entitled to the early bird rate. From 1 June the registration fee will increase by $100.

Partners
Partners wishing to attend the conference can do so for a discount, irrespective of time of booking. Partners of members attending the conference do not need to join the AIA. Partner registration includes all benefits as for a regular registration (satchel and provision of happy hour coupons etc).
Non Members
Non members pay an additional $110.00 annual subscription and a once off $20 joining fee to become an AIA member. Member benefits include a quarterly newsletter posted to your mailbox; regular AIA Investor Updates informing you of AIA activities, providing links to websites of interest and more; discounts on software, subscriptions, bank rates and bookshops; access to a member’s online forum; local discussion groups, seminars and more.
Tax Deductibility
Conference registration fees paid by delegates may be tax deductible. Delegates should speak to their tax advisers to confirm deductibility based on their individual circumstances.
Acknowledgement of Registration
All registrations will be acknowledged in writing. Registration will only be accepted and confirmed on receipt of payment.
Cancellations
Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is always welcome to attend. Alternatively, cancellations received in writing before or on 16 July 2012 will receive a full refund less a $75 administration fee.
Happy Hour Coupons
Delegates will be given happy hour coupons which they can use at any of the happy hours at the conference. Use as many you wish on each of the days and you are welcome to bring your non-delegate partner.
Conference Dinner
The registration fee also includes the three course conference dinner, drinks and entertainment on the Tuesday evening. There will be an opportunity to let your hair down with dancing following dessert. Non-delegate partners may attend the conference dinner for an additional charge of $115. Dress for the duration of the conference and all social functions is smart casual. Jacket and tie is not required.
Accommodation
Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa has recently undergone an $12m refurbishment, designed to reflect the mild Queensland climate and features the soothing effect of water with all ground floor bars and restaurants surrounded by waterscapes. This spreads across a hectare of exquisitely landscaped gardens and includes a five metre deep saltwater lagoon, home to tropical fish. Marriott guests can scuba dive, snorkel and swim through waterfalls into rock grottos and spas. The resort also has a marina, a boardwalk, a network of jogging and walking paths and direct access to beaches.
Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa is offering conference delegates a special rate of $220 per room per night which may be extended pre or post conference, subject to availability. Delegates will be sent reservation details upon receipt of their registration or you can book online. If you wish to extend your stay you will need to contact the resort direct on 1800 809 090. The resort is located at the northern end of Surfers Paradise at 158 Ferny Avenue.
How to Get There
From Coolangatta Airport a taxi will cost approximately $60. Alternatively a shuttle bus service operates from the airport to all the major hotels. The cost for this service is $19pp one way or $35pp return. Upon arrival at Coolangatta Airport please go to the GOLD COAST TOURIST SHUTTLE desks in the foyer where you can purchase a ticket. From Brisbane Airport to the Marriott Resort a taxi will cost approximately $200. Airtrain Connect is also available from Brisbane Airport to the Marriott for a cost of $45pp one way or $85pp return.
